Your expansion software doesn't work in your email? Mine works in my

Outlook, my Excel (which is more of a pain) and even when I'm typing on the

web.....Guess I'm spoiled...

Re: one of the things I HATE

Val, I hate making those stupid mistakes when typing e-mails also, which

is why I usually just delete rather than read my own posts. The other thing

I hate is that the macros, etc., won't work. I was just typing to a friend

and started to just type cp, but then remembered that it would not expand to

chest pain.

Anyway, one thing that you can do when you have a somewhat long post and

you want it to be correct is to go ahead and type it in Word. Then copy it

and paste it into the e-mail. I don't tend to do this, but it would be

helpful, especially since I don't know of many e-mail programs that have a

copy of Stedman's, so spellcheck can be a real pain in e-mail. Just my 2

cents. Margaret

Do you all find yourself writing these emails, not having your Stedman's

or a quick correct spellchecker there for you?....I hate writing emails that

are long because when I am typing in my WP, things like teh automatically

change to the, plus I get the red underline when something is spelled

wrong...so then I write and send the email...and find a mistake and

think...oooooh....they must think I'm an idiot...lol...anyway had to share

that w/you all. Happy New Year.

No if I want to do it perfectly, then I have to type it in WP and then copy,

paste it into my email....it's a pain. We also had downloaded Outlook

Express version 6.0, and then when we heard our cable internet might be

quitting temporarily, we decided to get a back up and so downloaded AOL

since it offerred 1500 free hours...we figured by the time we used it, our

cable would be back...well WHAT A MESS....our cable techs told us outlook

express 6.0 was only a beta test and not for real use (funny that's not the

was indicated on the website)...we lost ALL email and ALL internet

function...our cable techs could not help us and said it was a software

problem...so we had to use our computer's recovery software just to get

things running and go back down to outlook express 5.0, which I

hate...needless to say what we really need to do is wipe out everything and

reinstall everything, but I am so afraid of all the things I have programmed

in being lost with my work, I just live w/all the lock ups, long waits and

hope to find a decent computer guru who will come to our house to

help...well enough for tonight....nite all
