Hi,

We take our son to Dr. Carol Samango-Sprouse. She is a

neurodevelopmentalist. She diagnosed our son with apraxia. She is knows her

stuff. She gave us and our therapists many suggestions about helping our son.

She is in sonville, land (not far from polis and Washington

D.C.).

Have you read " The Out of Sync Child " by Carol Stock Kranowitz? It's

about Sensory Intergration Dysfunction.

The other day I picked up her new book, " The Out-of-Sync Child Has

Fun " . It has over 100 activities to do with your child to help him/her learn

how to plan, organize and carry out an action. There are activities that

would be beneficial for an OT, PT and speech therapist to use with a

dyspraxic child.

I couldn't put the book down once I opened it. I have already used

some of the activities with my son.

Hope this helps.

Chris

Hello again, Kara's mom from San Diego,CA:

Before I start thinking about a trip to Virginia to see Dr. Megson or

to land to see Dr. Samango-Sprouse, does anyone know of a physician in

the west who is equally versed in apraxia?

Thanks, Janice
