Guest guest
As I have written before, we are in the process of getting ready to embark on the introduction of the ProEFA for our son (3 years, 5 months). We were waiting for the holiday break to possibly do this, but, yet again, our house has been hit with the " germ " bug (fortunately this time basic headcolds (so far). Now my silly question, should ProEFA not be used (or, should you discontinue use) when the child is sick and/or taking medication (Dimetapp, prescription cold/cough medicine, etc.). I saw someone note they stopped the supplements when their child had the flu and this is something I have been thinking about as we were getting ready to introduce the ProEFA. Thanks . . . and a Happy New Year to all of you!!! Debbie - NJ
Guest guest
My daughter does not stop taking ProEFA when she is sick. However, when she started the ProEFA, she got a cold and then a series of ear infections. She was having lots of temper tantrums, and it was hard for me to tell if it was due to the ProEFA or if she was sick. So, we stopped the ProEFA and waited a few months until after the cold and flu season. She then had no problem with the ProEFA. Good luck! Guest guest
Hi Debbie, I had mentioned on list that I had stopped the supplements with Quinn when he had the stomach flu, only because he wasn't keeping much down, and expecting him to keep fish oil down was sort of out of the realm of possibility. (clear liquids and soda crackers is about the extent, and we wanted to make sure THAT stayed down). When he has a cold or a bug where nausea isn't an issue, we continue to supplement. Hope that helps! > As I have written before, we are in the process of getting ready to embark > on the introduction of the ProEFA for our son (3 years, 5 months).
