Guest guest
Hi everyone! I have a 2 1/2 year old son with verbal apraxia. I diagnosed it myself by research, the early intervention people were NO help with this part of it. I am lucky enough to live close to the office where Hammer works, so he personally diagnosed . Mr. Hammer said it is one of the MOST clear-cut cases of developmental apraxia he has ever seen in his years in practice. After one hour in Hammer's office, said four words he never had before. Now I am just waiting for all the reports to get to all the right people so I can take on the insurance company. Or get a job to pay for therapy, if I lose that fight. I am so relieved just to know that this is " fixable " And to all those people in my family who said " leave him alone, he'll talk when he's ready " I can now say BIG FAT TOLD YOU SO~!
