Guest guest
Thank you to all of you who wrote in about your hair washing experiences! Yikes there's a lot of kiddos out there screaming in the tub, aye? All kidding aside I had the opportunity to talk to a number of relatives with young children and a number of play group moms and it would appear that if hair washing problems are a sensory issue it is one that MANY children, even the n-o-r-m-a-l ones have. I also sat down with Nick today and tried to discern what had set him off and he kept telling me, " Addy, Addy " which is Daddy. I finally figured out that as it is usually Daddy who washes his hair that I obviously had done it differently or it simply wasn't something I was suppose to be doing. When I asked him if it would hurt if Daddy washed his hair he told me, " No " . So we agreed that Daddy will wash his hair from now on. Hey, I thought, that's OKAY DOKAY by me! LOL! How's that for finding the simple way and no valium needed! SAHM to 32 month old Nick who got washed with a wash cloth, no tub tonight because Daddy wasn't here!
