Guest guest
I just had my FIRST quarterly checkup since diagnoses, and (CELERBATES) I did GREAT!! a1C 4.7 Blood Pressure. 138/75 cholesterol 175 hdl 43 ldl 108 trig 121 I know its not perfect, but the biggest problems added exercise can cure. My Dr. said he has every confidence I can get off of the glycutrol with just added exercise. I talked to my Dr. about replacing the Glycutrol with basal insulin, and he said thats a preferable approach.(just confirms what Vicki and Suzie are saying), and he said the glycutrol will eventually burn out my pancreas. The real considerations here are Is prolonging my pancreas for a while worth the inconvenience of needle sticks, and the added cost of insulin, test strips etc for monitering. All I can hope for is for Pancreatic rejuvination technology to happen fast. Talk at ya all later...;O) Chris
