Guest guest
Hi everyone, First of all thank you for answering all the questions that I have asked in the short time that I have been on board with you. Thanks alot. Well, it's that time again for me to ask another question. I have been reading wonderful things from you about Nordic Natural's ProEFA and look forward to trying it for my son, Cole (almost 23 months old, 28 lbs, with oral and very likely verbal apraxia). I was curious as to what you have heard about the Vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) amount. In one pill there is 13.5 IU. Because Vit E is fat soluable and can be toxic in large amounts, I called my pediatrician to see what the max daily allowable amount is (for my son's age and weight). She told be 6 IU but wasn't sure and that I should ask a pharmacist. So I did and the pharmacist said 5 IU. I also e-mailed Nordic Naturals to ask them and they just said their products had a range of 8 IU to??? (can't recall but it's the lower end I was curious about and the fact that my question wasn't really answered). Does anybody have any thoughts about this or information that their pediatrican/whoever has shared with them about this amount? Is 13.5 IU/day too high? Thanks again, Sincerely, Anita
