Guest guest
I think it is a RARE doctor who is willing to say to a patient, "I don't know." I have found that they will often prefer lying ("That doesn't work." or "You won't get better.") to saying, gee I haven't seen this, I'm stumped... how can I help you? Maybe it's their training... It seems very, very threatening to them to be faced with a situation they aren't expert with. My friend's husband is a urologist and I always considered him one of these docs. But recently he had a patient get great help from acupuncture and now he's trying to learn about it. That encouraged me. Lia
