Guest guest
JoAnn: Hi! Sorry it's taken me awhile to answer my mail, haven't felt too good lately. weather has been pretty cold and snowy. Just chills right down to the bone. anyway, I have alot of questions if you don't mind about the Fibro, First of all, I am of just devastated once again, and I am only 41 year old. In the year 1998 I had to accept that I had RSD, that took me 5 years to accept. I was hurt on the job, in 1996 I had never worked at plant before I had always worked in the clerical area. I wanted a different pace, and I didn't have any college experience and that's what it took to get a job down here in Southern Illinois. I had learned everything I had knew from job experience. I was a Legal Secretary for 4 years at Illinois State University, in Normal, Illinois. I also worked at the McLean County Law & Justice Center in Bloomington, Illinois. I came down here because I got married and my husband had his job he was a Medical Technologist, in the Laboratory. at the Hospital where I live now. Times have since then have changed but you get the picture. I had a happy life. Then I get hurt! Then my life is shattered, my kids life is shattered, my youngest was 6 years old, and now she is almost 14 years old. It's not been fair to her, or to my oldest daughter . is the youngest and the oldest, What should I expect from here on? I mean my whole body hurts very bad, I can hardly move. I fell down a last week on the ground and have not been the same since. I have been so careful too. I have been swelling lately, and have been having terrible painful electrical jolts down my left leg with horrible burning pain with it. please help???? JanetJoAnn wrote: NOT SURE IF TALKED TO YOU JANET AND IF NOT WANT TO TELL YOU HELLO AND LET YOU AND LINDA BOTH KNOW THAT I HAVE HAD THE FIBRO BETWEEN 11 AND 15 YEARS, SEVERLY. HAD IT LONGER THAN THAT BUT NOT DIAGNOSED UNTIL THIS TIME PERIOD. I KNOW YOU ARE BOTH FRUSTRATED WITH THIS BUT YOU HAVE FOUND OUT ABOUT IT EARLY AND THAT IS OF HELP. SOME OF YOUR RSD MEDS APPLY TO FIBRO AND IF YOU HAVE GOOD RHUEMATOLOGIST HE CAN BE OF GREAT HELP TO YOU BOTH. MINE LOOKS INTO ALL THINGS NEW AND HAS TRIED SO MANY THINGS ON ME. THERE ARE MANY, MANY THINGS TO TRY AND IF YOUR DOCTORS DO NOTHING NEW LET ME KNOW AND MAYBE I CAN EITHER RECALL SOME AND ASK MY DOCTOR ABOUT SOME. KNOW THERE HAVE BEEN NEW DRUGS OUT AND ALSO LIKE A STIMULATOR YOU WEAR ON OUTSIDE HAS HELPED ALOT OF PEOPLE. I GO EVERY TWO TO THREE MONTHS AND ALWAYS HAVE MY BLOOD TAKEN, EVERY TIME I GO. HE IS AN INTEREST THAT WENT ON TO GET HIS OTHER DEGREE WHICH ASSUME ALL RHUEMATOLOGIST ARE EDUCATED SAME WAY. YOU CAN HAVE PHYSICAL THERAPY WITH SLOW EASY MOVEMENTS THAT ARE APPLIED ACCORDING TO YOUR NEEDS AND ULTRASOUND THAT HELPS WITH INFLAMATION. ALSO USE HEAT PACKS AS THE LAST ITEM FOR ME. OH ALSO GET A GENTLE MASSAGE AS A STRONG ONE WILL IRRITATE YOU MOST LIKELY. SO DON'T LET ANYONE GIVE YOU A DEEP MASSAGE OR EVEN MODERATE MASSAGE. THEY USE A WARM LIQUID AND SLOWLY MASSAGE IT INTO YOUR BODY. IT REALLY FEELS GREAT. WELL ANYTHING YOU MIGHT WANT TO ASK ME JUST ASK. YOU CAN WRITE ME DIRECT AT 2XHAWKS@... SORRY DON'T KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT GO BLUE AND CAN PUT THAT IN LOWER LETTERS. WELL TAKE CARE AND DON'T LET YOURSELVES GET TO UPSET. SORRY THIS HAS HAPPENED BUT WE ARE ALL HERE FOR YOU. SENDING GENTLE HUGS AND PRAYERS MY FRIENDS.KELLYS MOMMAJOANN
Guest guest
Hi Janet, For the pain down your leg, the swelling and that cold to the bone feeling try some vitamin B-3. It has made my feet warm, and I have had feet like blocks of ice for years. It has allowed me to function in this cold weather and I also fell and hurt my back. I also take neurontin for the electric jolts, do you? My children were 13 and 10 when I got rsd six years ago, and they survived. They turned out to be more caring and considerate than most kids, so that is good. I know it makes us feel guilty but if we think rationally, it truly is not our fault. Of course the kids understand this, but they also want things from us we cannot provide, like going for a walk with them or just plain lifting them up. My children made it though Janet, they are now, 20 and 16 and they are great kids, happy and like I said compassionate. Janet, hang in there okay? We are here for you, as is your family I am sure. We are all going to have good and bad days, so try to enjoy the good and together we will get through the bad. Happy Holidays! Hugs and a pain free minute, Deb (Deborah Genatossio) Debgena@...
