Nita,

I tried all the sound alikes for your word that I could think of. The only

thing close that I could come up with that might work is xanthelasma maybe?

xanthelasma - plantar xanthoma involving the eyelid(s)

Let me know if I was even close. : )

chalazion \Cha*la " zi*on\, n. [NL., fr. Gr. ? dim. of ? hail, pimple.] (Med.)

A small circumscribed tumor of the eyelid caused by retention of secretion,

and by inflammation of the Melbomian glands.

If you have not found it already, I think this is what you were lookint for.

Nita, what comes to my mind is " chalazion " which is pronounced " kah LAY zee

on " . The definition of " chalazion " per Dorland's is " a small eyelid mass

due to inflammation of a meibomian gland. " However, since the

pronunciation is so different, you might want to look further. You are

saying you hear, " shall ah SEE um, " right?
