Guest guest
Luke ahs this too - I will tell you it has been virtually eliminated since changing his diet and doing a varied " sensory diet " daily. The issues do come back though if we don't do the therapeutic play regularly. The best investment I ever made was for the book, The Out of Sync Child Has Fun. Same author as mentioned but it is absolutely FULL of at-home therapies for this condition, sketches of make-it-yourself therapy/play tools, everything categorized by area of dysfunction: visual, balance, touch, taste, everything. I'd check out the first book from your library, read it, then BUY this one. Indispensable. Incidentally - I think that every child benefits from this type of therapy (though we just call it playing). Even if you or your child doesn't have a diagnosis, check out this book. It is amazing what areas of the brain are developed and strengthened - even repaired - from old fashioned play! Homeschooling?
