Guest guest
Deanna the Brave, I'm so sorry, honey, about this latest news. However, sometimes the docs can underestimate the patient's ability to come through, and I'm praying that God has a miracle in store for you, and that your stubborn nature and natural courage will prevail. Loving hugs, MM
Guest guest
Deanna, I am so sorry they won't be able to give you the kind of relief you need. What will they do then? Is there anything they can do about the esophagus? You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Jeanette

Guest guest
Deanna, I'm so sorry that the surgery will be a complete sucess. i'm praying for you that the Lord will give you strength and help you through it all. Has you found out the guy working with Mike has SARS? Love Carol The verdict is in. Well everyone I just got home from the Thoracic Surgeon... Let me just say yesterdays procedure/test SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did the manometry test yesterday, first thing they had me do was sniff Lidacaine gel up the nostril they were going to insert the tube through... Then they inserted the tube through my left nostril, down into my esophagus and down into my stomach... Well the first 25 mins once the tube reached my esophagus I spent vomiting, so we know I have a working gag reflex... Honestly the tech did not think I was going to complete the test... So we get through the vomiting and the tech continues to push the tube to where it needed to be, once there she asked me to lay down, so I did... The vomiting occurred again for about 10 mins... Ok now we start the test and I have to do several swallows through-out this procedure as the machine is taking measurements through-out... This part took about 1hour... Finally time for the tube to come out... Now I'm vomiting from having it out Ugggggggg and my throat is sore and feels scratched... So I went to the surgeon this afternoon and I did not pass the test that well... In other words, the muscles in my esophagus do not work the way they should and my stomach is not digesting the food... He is willing to do the surgery but............. it is not going to work the way it would on a different person..... I will still continue to deal with the vomiting, just not like I have been, I will also be dealing with bloating and such but it should allow me to take my meds again and right now his concern is making sure I can take my meds again... So he said his secretary will get back to me with my surgery date.... So that's my life in a nutshell....... Lucky me....... He said the lupus has done the damage to my stomach..... Well gotta go see you all later...
