Guest guest
I am seeing an endo next week and am debating if I want to bring a Shomon book with me (probably the autoimmune one) and I don't know if that would freak the Dr out or not. I was also thinking about printing that Dr Lowe article as well but that may wait. And I will have to make a note to myself to not take my thyrolar that morning in case he wants to do a blood test. hmm. Louise
Guest guest
I'm sure they'd call her a quack - or some such term! I took pages of hers, I believe it was hers, to my regular dr. once - maybe it was from Dr. Lowes site - my doctor tossed them aside - that was the end of it. not an endo tho - just one of 'those' doctors. Cris Re: Endo question I think most any Endo would be freaked out by Shoman's book. LOL. Janie

Guest guest
Hi Dianne, Well I'm stuck in a bad situation. PA referring me to endo cos my antibodies are elevated (can we say hashi's?!?!?!) And now neuro (from car accident) involved cos one subtest of an ANA test elevated and he thinks I have something going on with my immune system (repeat after me can we say hashi's?!?!?!) So neuro was going to call endo and talk to him Dr to Dr. (And get this - the neuro actually calls me too - how many Dr's call their patients directly nowadays.) But today insurance company called and they don't see how immune problems could be related to car accident - uhm yes jarring of the neck will do it. Also endo's office called and I asked how early I should get there since this is the 1st time seeing him - oh you don't have to get here early. Uhm don't you want me to fill out papers and stuff. Well you can get here a few minutes early if you want. Uhm ok. It's just that I'm gun shy cos I've heard endo horror stories. Hopefully it won't be bad.
