Hello Everyone!

I have just about finished my education as a medical transcriptionist

and would very much like to find work at home. I live in the county.

The nearest town is 40 miles from the house. I also homeschool the

two child I still have at home. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Answer all the on-line ads you can find. If they turn you down at first

because of lack of experience, e-mail back and tell them kind of an outline

of all the stuff you learned in school and how great of a job you know

you'll do for them if they'll give you a chance. The worst they can do is

say " no " again. I got my job by being positive like that. They may just go

ahead and give you a test, and if you do good, then you've probably got the

job.

Steer clear of companies that ask for hundreds of dollars up front for

equipment or that ask that you work through their so-called " mentoring "

program where you don't get paid (They'll keep you in training forever.

Meanwhile you're doing real transcription work for them, and they're making

money off your free labor.). Most importantly once you get started, don't

get discouraged if it seems very overwhelming and difficult at first and

you're slow. None of us make a lot of money starting out. That's the way

it's going to be for a while, but all the fine folks on this list are here

to help, and you'll start to get used to how the certain docs you get

pronounce things and what terms they use over and over again. :o)
