Guest guest
Hi Caroline! Hooray!! Major clapping. Awww, you didn't french kiss him?? LOL. Anyway, wanted you to know that you can go from T4 one day to Armour alone the next, if that interests you. I was on .125 thyroxine. Started on 3/4 grain Armour (without the T4 med) the next day---but 1/2 grain is great. Today I am on 3 grains optimally. If you choose to get off the thyroxine, just don't stay on the low dose Armour much longer than 2 weeks or so--you'll need to begin raising by then to prevent your hypo from returning. And the best of luck! > > (can barely hear those faint oinks down here in Texas!) > Hi Thanks for your reply. I am seeing Dr Chapman (who is on the list of good docs) and he suggested that I gradually reduce the levothyroxine. My last blood tests showed that my T4 was 29.7 (range 11.5 to 23.0) and my T3 was 4.0 (range 2.1 to 6). I think he is hoping that the Armour will increase my T3. He also put me on Adreno-Lyph (dessicated cows adrenals) so that my adrenals would be supported before starting Armour. (so I think it is more of a moo moo at the moment than an oink oink!) I am delighted that you feel better in only 2 weeks, that is great. For myself, I am seeing Dr Chapman every month and feel I have to give the good doc a chance and follow his recommendations. (I have printed out your e-mail, as I do with all important info). Love Caroline

I have had a bit of diarrhoea since starting Armour. I am looking through the messages as I seem to recall this subject has been mentioned before!
