I am only a small frame and 50kg but i seem to get puffed doing the tiniest things like hanging washing out, or watering the hanging baskets etc. Does anyone else feel that too? wendy

Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. > > 5. Guest guest
HI , Depends on how old you are. Your body probably isn't used to the activity yet. If you are older and out of shape it's possible you can get short of breath. Be careful how much activity you do. Take it slow. hugs, Debbie J > > just wondering if being out of breath has anything to do with FM. > I am only a small frame and 50kg but i seem to get puffed doing the > tiniest things like hanging washing out, or watering the hanging > baskets etc. > Does anyone else feel that too? > wendy >

Guest guest
I'd like to add a few words to previous answers. They were all good suggestions but another one might help some. If this persists, ask your internist or whatever to have a pulmonologist check you out for any lung problems. These can cause shortness of breath sometimes, and it is a good idea to have it checked out. You've heard the old saying I'm sure, " Better Safe than Sorry " and we have enough problems. Better to have this checked out if it persists. I know I have " Interstitial lung Disease " , which was caused by a drug I was put on for a premature heartbeat. I notice it mostly when I am walking slightly up-hill when walking my dog. Guest guest
, YES! Sometimes I can barely walk up the street without being totally out of breath. When I'm doing well the walk is nothing except for the usual pain. It started really bad as a first flair up once and comes back on an irregular basis as it wants to. Sometimes, just sitting, I felt as if I couldn't take a deep breath. They did some tests and found nothing. Since then, at all my annual physicals, they do a breathing test which I ace every time, so I am chalking it up to the fibro as the problem is something that only occurs when the fibro is raging. I hope this helps. Please see your doctor and make them do complete work ups and then you can be less anxious about it. I know it's very unpleasant and I'm sorry about that! > > > ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ > The fish are biting. > Get more visitors on your site using Yahoo! Guest guest
>I also experience shortness of breath, but I'm also B-12 defecient. shortness of breath is a symptom of that for sure. Have you had your B-12 checked? Dr. says that 60% of people with f.m. has B-12 defency, so maybe that would be something tp check into! Guest guest
This is great advice! Every time I had a new symptom I would go to my doctor " just in case. " It took a while before I figured out that most of it was Fibro but I still never wanted to take a chance that it could actually be something else. So far, it's been Fibro but I still won't take for granted that it's always Fibro, you just never know.
