My mom had it..my grandmother had it..and I suspect two aunts of having it. I've probably passed it on to my daugher. But hurrah on the champagne and partying...Armour is a miracle to me too! I went to a mall for the first time in ages...and went in every store I wanted too without getting tired. It was so wonderful to feel like spending money. Guest guest
This is so great, we all applaud and dance for you, and send prayers and healing vibes to you for your days ,,day by day for more strength and much added joy in your new found health NORMAL DAY - AT LAST !!! Hi Everyone Just wanted to say that today was a NORMAL DAY. Went to a friend's 40th birthday lunch and even managed a couple of glasses of champagne, an achievement in itself as i have been alcohol intolerant for years. I ate everything even cake and was having such a good time i didn'nt take my pm dose of Armour til 7pm. If I can manage this three weeks after not wanting to leave the house because of joint pains, how will i feel when i reach my optimum dose? I still do have a few palps but reading here lately perhaps its iron deficiency. My GP wants to test my tsh before i go away (Health Authority refuse to test T3 and T4 so i will take no notice of that result) and has agreed to test Ferritin and Cholesterol. Tonight I am tired and aware that i couldn't party like this every day but it does give me hope for the future. On Friday I will have the majority of my amalgam fillings replaced and the rest will go the following Monday. That just leaves the menopause to fight, thinking when i get to the U.S. I will order progesterone cream recommended here a while back (please remind me of the name someone). Just have a question. Been puzzling me why i have thyroid disease. Was I born with it? Did a nasty bout of glandular fever aged 10 make it inevitable ? reading a list of autoimmune conditions linked to thyroid it sounded like a who's who of my family Lupus - sister Rheumatoid Arthritis - niece aged only 9 Aspergers Syndrome - nephew Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome - niece Allergies - numerous members suffer from asthma, hay fever and various digestive problems namely irritable bowel syndrome. This makes me think that perhaps its " in the family genes " and that despite leading a healthy lifestyle i was destined to " catch " T.D. anyway. Its so confusing...... Guest guest
If y'all looked at that site that had a running " Encyclopedia " , just today or yesterday, it tells even which chromosomes that different thyroid conditions are on, showing how that would come about. One of them is the Hsomething-DR5?, whatever that means, then there are others with similar names. I think that the human genome project sort of put all of that in perspective. It's what happens to us in life that sort of determines whether or not it will manifest, but some things manifest no matter what. Re: NORMAL DAY - AT LAST !!! Guest guest
Sheila...my GP phoned the Lab and insisted on T3 and T4 as I was taking Armour...it's important to measure both levels. They did...and have also done T3 and T4 for the rest of my family without batting an eyelid...You can get this done on the NHS...don't be fobbed off. Insist. Love, Fluffy...who even gets NHS Armour..... > My > GP wants to test my tsh before i go away (Health Authority refuse to > test T3 and T4 so i will take no notice of that result) and has > > SheilaF
Guest guest
Hi Fluffy, you lucky devil you, Armour on the NHS I can only aspire to that, my plan is to get really well and then present myself at my GP's door and politely ask for a prescription for Armour....... I am going tomorrow am to have the test do i need to do something before i go? I already have the form so is it too late? He did say he has asked the lab before to test for T3/T4 and they refused...... I will see what i can do when i get there.... Thanks a lot SheilaF > > My > > GP wants to test my tsh before i go away (Health Authority refuse > to > > test T3 and T4 so i will take no notice of that result) and has > > > > SheilaF
