Tonia I got that spinal headache when I had the trial pump.. My gosh I never want to do that again, that was miserable and lasted it seemed forever... Guest guest
Tonia, Good luck, I hope that you called today, I know it is scary but you really need to. They did an MRI on my lower back too and also looked for infection with the dye, just in case I got infected from the block. It still bothers me if I don't take my meds now....they were surprised at my reaction too. I pray that your MRI does not show anything major. Guest guest
-------Original Message------- Tonia I got that spinal headache when I had the trial pump.. My gosh I never want to do that again, that was miserable and lasted it seemed forever... Hugs ========================================================================= Jeanne, I know what you mean! Those blocks was being done in Chicago, an 8 hour drive one way for us. When we got home and I woke up with that headache the next morning....I was wishing that someone would blow my head off. Finally, after 2 days of trying to get rid of it myself, I went to my regular doctor's office. They had NO CLUE as to what it even was or what to do! At that time though, I didn't know myself that it was a spinal headache either. But, while I was at the doctor's office, they realized that I was severely dehydrated, and immediately ordered an IV bag to be delivered to the room I was in. They gave me 2 shots of something for a migraine....which didn't work.....and kept me in the room for over an hour with the IV. Since they thought it was just another migraine, they shut the lights off and told me to take a nap. Wasn't bad....uncomfortable laying on that doctor's table, but I was almost asleep actually, until the stinking Fire Alarm went off! It was just a test....but that flashing bright light did NOT help the headache any!!! It took 5 days before that headache went away......which, I went back to Chicago 2 days after the headache went away on its own. Just my luck. That was when I was going weekly for the blocks. Guest guest
Guess what? I out..... lol. But, Gene is forcing me to call today. I tried to argue with him....telling him that if it was something major, the doctor would of called me......but, I lost. So.....at 8 am, I'm going to call and leave a message on their phone....and, hopefully, they'll call back and since it will probably be his wife that returns the call, maybe she'll have the results. Otherwise, I will have to wait no matter what, because she will be about 45 minutes from his other office, where he will be swamped with patients, and not have my records with him because I see him in the other office.
