Hello texpert@... (Jayni),

In reference to your comment:

è " 3 grams per meter squared " -- I just can't remember

è how to type that. The patient received the third

è consolidation chemotherapy with high dose

è _____________ [s/l RDC]. She was given

è ______________ [s/l 3 grams per meter squared] every

è 12 hours on day 1. The _______________ [s/l 3 and

è the 5] and the last dose were withheld because of

è prolonged neutropenia associated with fever in the

è previous cycle. So, this patient received a total of 5

è doses of high-dose [s/l RFC] during this admission.

è She tolerated the treatment well. She was given a

è prescription for Neupogen 400 mg ____________ [s/l in

è the A T] daily for 10 days. She will be followed in the

è office in 10 days with CBC.

Per BOS, meters squared is either m2 with the 2 superscripted or if you don't

have that capibility (which we don't where I work), sq m is acceptable.

For one of your blaks where it talks about 3 and 5 and the last does, it

could be correct, as in the third, fifth and last doses were held. Hope this

helps a little. :)

Hello texpert@... (Jayni),

In reference to your comment:

è Thanks, Jan. I only THOUGHT I was here by myself.

No problem. Unfortunately I'm working today until about 2 pm EST, and I'll

be here tomorrow as well .... covering if there is any work available to do.

Hello texpert@... (Jayni),

In reference to your comment:

è Color me sympathetic! I'm committed to be here until

è AT LEAST 1:00 CST, and till 4:30 " if absolutely

è necessary. " Then I have to cover the morning hours

è tomorrow. I've got the same schedule for New Year's

è Eve and New Year's Day, except on New Year's Day I'll

è cover the afternoon hours instead of the morning. Ain't

è acute care fun? (This is my first year to work in an

è acute care setting in 25+ years.)

Yup, acute care sure is fun :/ My friends who have " bank hours " type jobs

simply are amazed when I tell them I'm working Christmas Eve and Christmas

Day (only if there's work). My employer only has 2 paid holidays a year:

Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I'll be working New Year's Eve and New Year's

Day.. assuming there's work to do of course :) The good news is since I'll

be working Christmas Day this year, next year I'll get to have the day off :)

Although it looks like it didn't come through in my email to the list, the 2

should be superscripted.

Thanks so much, . I can't believe I was so lucky as to get answers from

three people on Christmas Eve -- and to have you, obviously a real oncology

professional among them.

Have wonderful holidays.
