Guest guest
Hi, Group...just got this post from Rob, Susie's husband. Susie was a longtime member of this group and my own first personal diabetic mentor. She saved more than one diabetic from the ravages of this disease. After gaining good control of her own diabetes, bone cancer finally brought her down. I'll miss her greatly. Vicki << Hi All, Susie passed away a little after 7pm last night. I was here and it was a very easy and not painful experience for her. She suffered what the hospice and doctor think was probably a cerebral event and she was gone in about 15 minutes. I was home from my office for about an hour before it happened and she was never conscious at the end. We had a great talk this week and we knew that it wasn't going to be long and I'm glad that something sudden took her rather than something longer and painful. My email address is robtmuir@.... I'm going to shutdown this frontiernet ISP and Susie's email address this week so if you care to respond please use the direcway address. Thanks to all of you for all the support and love you gave her these past months and years. Take Care, Rob Muir
Guest guest
This is indeed sad and happy news. Sad because all the people who were blessed to be touched by Susie will miss her so much but happy too because there is only eternal love in store for Susie now. No more pain, no more suffering, no more diabetes! I hope my my beloved Daryl was there to escort her to the best icecream parlor in heaven and I hope she has an extra scoop for us. Susie you will be sorely missed. Thank you for being in our lives. anne Re: Loss of a good friend She has been heavy on my heart for weeks now.....I was going to ask if anyone knew how she was doing... I hope they serve ice cream in Heaven......and I hope she gets double servings. Ressy

Guest guest
Hi, Vicki... I've been off the list for some time and just got back on a few days ago. I remember Susie very fondly. I'm so sorry to hear that she's gone... I know you were close. I think she lived her life well, trying to help others, even though she knew she was dying. I remember that she and her husband were taking a trip to Hawaii, and she was so thrilled. My daughter-in-law's mother died of cancer, and she too went to Hawaii... she said it was " as close to Paradise as you could get on this earth.
