Guest guest
...are you taking any meds? Or just diet and exercise? (and I realize your exercise is probably minimal right now...) If you're already on diabetic meds and still having those high BGs it may be insulin time for you...and I know I don't have to say to you " don't be scared, needles are nothing " to you since you're a pro... The important thing is to get those BGs down! You don't want complications! Oh, and yes, anxiety and stress can really mess with BGs. Can you do meditation? (I never could!) Guest guest
Yep! I'm still " hanging around " . , I was wondering why I haven't seen any posts from you lately. Personally, I just simply covered up with things that are overwhelming. Meds causing all kinds of problems..liver, thyroid, eyes, high fasting BG's, everything " out of whack " . Maybe it's partly stress with kids, grandkids, great grandkids, school is just about out for the summer, graduation, my " out of town " children pushing and pushing for me to come and spend a couple of weeks with them, my mother is sick all of the time.(at 88 she's doing better than I thought). Oh well, you get the picture. I don't have time to take care of myself for worrying about everybody else. I was beginning to think you people had all just jumped off the universe and left me stranded.alone! There has not been that many posts lately. I'm just grateful that you're back home and doing better. I've been through the " lung thing " and it isn't the least bit funny. Both of my lungs collapsed from that car wreck and that's what caused the first 4 cardiac arrests. Take care of yourself and keep us informed how you are doing. Hugs and prayers, Tootie " When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.' There's still a few of us old-timers around...Tootie even checks in occasionally...Susie and of course Rick. Please take care! Guest guest
I would call the Accucheck people and tell 'em about the problem. If they're any good at all they'll send you a new one, free. Any idea what i do to recalibrate a accucheck advantage? , I don't have an Accucheck Advantage, so I don't know how to recalibrate it. But I do have an Ultra Soft Touch and it was out of calibration two months ago. I called their customer service toll free number, and told them the problem, and they sent me a brand new one (FREE) via. overnight mail that arrived before noon the next day. Maybe you could call the customer service number for Accucheck and see if they provide the same service? It would be a lot easier than trying to recalibrate one yourself. Guest guest
, just call AccuCheck. Their phone number is on the back of your meter and you can all them 24 hours around the clock. I think they must give all of their employees a personality assessment before they hire them. They are some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with.
