Guest guest
Stacie, I looked in the PDR and although it isn't safe in breastfeeding it is fine for children and breastfeeding. It also says you can use this for up to 8 weeks so I would say not more than 4 while breastfeeding. Also the recommended dosage is larger than a teaspoon so a teaspoon should be just right for you. Get well soon. Wendi Re: HELP ME??!!! From: MamaToLexi@... Ok, I am starting to get a cold, and I went and bought some Echinacea, and now what do I do? Do I need to dilute it any since I am breastfeeding?? I have heard it is ok, and that it DOES work, but do I need to dilute it? It says to take 1tsp., 4x a day Also it says I can only take it for two days, what if I am not better in two days?? HELP ME PLEASE!!! This is the first time I have used anything like this, but I have heard wonderful things about this, so I need some help! Guest guest
Stacie, Don't take the echinacea yet.. I recall some new literature that recommends it be avoided for infants... but can't recall what it said about the use in breastfeeding moms. Can you hold off for a bit?? I'll go look it up now!
