Hi Gwen, This was a right move on your part. You do need to be with when talking to the Endo. There will probably be a lot of discussion. Even with both of you there, some points will be missed. I would suggest you write down any questions you or may have. You even may want to call the doctor's nurse and ask if it is okay to fax/mail the questions a couple of days before the appointment so the doctor will have a chance to look at them ahead of time. This will save time for both you and your doctor. Keep us posted. hugs Eunice
Guest guest
I wanted to reply to this earlier, just didn't have the time... My husband went to my Dr appts with me, and to the diabetes educator. He wanted to learn as much as he could about what was going on with me, and what he needs to do to help and things like that. It was sooo nice to have him there, knowing that he supports me " in sickness and in health " We had only been married for a month. That was in October. It will help you as well, knowing what to expect, as gestational diabetes is somewhat different than Type 2... Angelia in OR who is 25, and trying to get pregnant, because dr said it was ok! Guest guest
That's great Angelina. I wish my wife could have gone with me. The problem was at that time we worked different shifts. The classes I took lasted I think 3 weeks. It might have been 4. Insurance paid for it. There were a number of couples who were there together for the same reason you and your husband were. I took that class about 6 years ago. I wonder if insurance would pay for another go around. Oh, and best of luck on getting pregnant! We have a daughter who is 27 years old and our first grandchild (9 months old) and our son is 24 years old.
