Guest guest
, The poopies can be really arbitrary. Usually two per day. I know a newborn who pooped every 6th day, so they are all different. But there should be at least 6-8 wet diapers per day. Wendi diaper guideline What's the guideline to check if baby's geeting enough breast milk? sister in law is nursing, baby was born Friday evening. she has already given her 2 oz of formula....but she's drinking the /mother's milk tea and enjoying it! How many poopies and wets per day? Thank you, P.s. she already has a cracked nipple with blood ( << File: ATT00007.htm >>
Guest guest
is she giving the formula in a bottle? if so cracked nipple could be b/c of " nipple confusion " .....this is what my ped told me when i had at least 1 to 2 wet diapers per day for the first 2 days....starting the third day or so, 4 to 6 wet diapers every 24 hours and a minimum of 3 to 4 bowel movement diapers every 24 hours....stools shoud be about 1 tablespoon or larger After the thirdday, soft and yellow stools ranging from 4 ( if large) to 10 ( if small)
Guest guest
she could try a liner such as a paper towel in the diaper....that way the paper towel would be wet and she would know
Guest guest
Even before the milk comes in? The baby looks so small and a little orange. Guest guest
, Lots of lanolin and short frequent feedings, changing from side to side will help with the pain. Make sure the baby is latching on properly, because her nipple shouldn't be bleeding and cracked already.
