Guest guest
Hi, Someone asked if I am glad I had my surgery. Yes I am. I am still having problems but was alot worse before surgery. My nsg said that the disk herniation in at C6 but is not pressing on the spinal cord so we are going to leave it alone. The syrnix has not gone all the way down where he would like it but as long as the shunt is working and the syrnix is not getting any better we are goint to leave that alone too. He does feel that there is a possiblity that the shunt could be being squeezed off at times and this is where the pressure is coming from. He is going to turn over the medication part to my primary doctor and see what he can come up with. A diuretic is an opption. I have to see him next in April. We have elected to forego another neurosurgeon consult and neurologist consult at this time. Everything is on a wait and see bases as far as the symptoms. We will treat whatever comes along if it comes along. Colleen in NY http://msnmember.msn.com/
