Guest guest
Liz, I could get drops of milk out almost two years after Kaija stopped nursing and it didn't have to be in a hot shower. I couldn't believe how long it stayed. My midwife said she had heard of that pretty often. Wendi milk supply I knew a gal who said she could STILL get milk out of her breasts, in a warm shower, after she stopped breastfeeding for a whole year! Amazing! Like if you would adopt? Just curious... this is so fascinating. Guest guest
It is very possible to re-lactate after you stop BFing but it is lots of work (of course well worth it) but you would have to be very determined. The body IS amazing, isn't it?? Felicia Hannah 12/10/97 Tarah 3/31/99 Visit our homepage! http://www.geocities.com/~hshill

The hormone that initiates production of milk, prolactin, is sent by the pituitary gland, not the ovaries or uterus. It seems that when men are faced with starvation, their bodys auto-responses are to produce milk. Think *survival of the species*! Its not crazy, its documented! lol Q: " Why do men have nipples? Their mammary glands just remain undeveloped throughout life. Some preteen boys might find breast buds during puberty, but the surge of testosterone stops it from growing!
