Guest guest
Hello kjv16114me@... ( ), In reference to your comment: è She states that her last lab tests showed that her è " ung " is 73. It was up as high as 93 and at one point it è went down to 86. Now it is 73. Her " FSH " done on è 12-04-01, is .04, which is normal. Patient is chronically è anemic with a WBC of 3.0 " HMH " is 9.2 and 29.5. è Platelet is 117. per cu mm. This is most likely due to è her sclerosis of the liver. Good " PTINR " . Protein of 15.3 è " INR " 1.2 " THH " is 3.65. Patient also needs a refill on è her Soma 350mg. 1PO q.h.s. prn. Patient is also è requesting a Flu vaccine. Sorry, I'm drawing a blank on " ung. " FSH is correct, stands for follicle stimulating hormone, HMH is probably H & H, which is slang for hemoglobin and hematocrit, PTINR is written as PT-INR and INR is correct. THH is probably TSH. It should be Soma 350 mg (space between the # and mg), and it should be p.o. , and p.r.n. I don't think flu is capitalized. Don't apologize for asking for help. Like Margaret, when I was new, I worked in house and had several other " cubicle-mates " to ask as well as samples to look at. Think of us on this list as your cyber cubicle-mates Jan " Typing is my life " (said sarcastically) Remember... WSTPMTR (which means, whoever signs the paycheck makes the rules). Guest guest
Looks like most of your questions have been answered, and I for one want to thank you for asking them. I'm learning quite a bit from the answers given, and also, I'm realizing how far I've come when I can answer some of them. Don't worry, in a month or two, another newbie will come along and ask similar questions, and you'll be able to whip out the answer without thinking about it. Just think how good you'll feel then. :-) ellen Help again Hi, Need help again. I promise not to bother you as much when I get all the books I ordered in the mail. Guest guest
I'm racking (wracking?) my braing trying to figure this one out... Phrasont? " 2) Depression and anxiety. Patient has been tried on Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, " Phrasont " , and Xanax without any relief. Prozac just made her sleepy. " I do psych reports all day every day. The usual antidepressants and antianxiety meds are Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, Wellbutrin, etc. People get Xanax, Klonopin, BuSpar and others for anxiety. I've never heard of anything sounding like " Phrasont. " Is there anything else there that you are hearing? The reason I ask is maybe it is something not so difficult like " Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, and on Xanax, assuming that this doctor is butchering the English language...? Just reaching for this one... One thing I remember very clearly about first starting out was that I was so freaked out about everything being technical and difficult that I started to find trouble when trouble wasn't there. In other words, I assumed everything was difficult when sometimes it wasn't. I remember the first time I heared someone had an ABG with a value of ____ on room air. I assumed that " room air " had to be some technical term - you know - Rumaire or some other darn thing. I spent half an hour looking in every reference book I could find. I finally asked a nurse and she had a good laugh at my expense. After that, I started to just trust what I was hearing and not try to make " too much " out of it. Hope that little tidbit of advice will help you in the next few weeks. Chris Help again > Hi, > Need help again.
