That sounds like the 2nd Edition. The newest one is the 3rd Edition, but I

can't find a publication date for it on the net right now. I did check the

& Noble site and searched for H & P: A Nonphysician's Guide..., and the

only one that came up was the 2nd Edition. I actually have the 3rd Edition

at home, but it is packed right now since we will hopefully be moving some

day soon. If I have time at home, I will try to dig it out and check for

ya! :)

and Nobles again

I just got off the phone with the same question on Saunders. I did hear

it correctly. There is a major price difference. I will use my gift

certificate on something else. While I was on with them I asked about the

Non=Physicians guide to H & P and she quoted $20. She also warned me the

book is not recent...1980. So now I ask you what is the most recent

publication date you have for this one.

Much appreciation.

Again, I am trying to use my gift certificate, now my bonus for joining

up with ATT on line billing. Since you have a recent edition and so does

, I will assume there is a new editionout there and I will go to

HPI site to learn more. Obviously B & N does not have it yet. I can wait as

I do need to get the Saunders right now.

Thanks.

Hey, I have a copy that I received in a bunch of books my uncle got for me

for graduating from my transcription course. I don't see where it says

specifically what " Edition " it is, but on the first page when you open the

cover, it has, " H & P: A Nonphysician's Guide to the Medical History and

Physical Examination, H. Dirckx, M.D., Health Professions Institute,

Modesto, California, 1987, 2nd Printing, Revised, 1991. " So don't know if

mine is the newest version or not.

Aliceanne, I have the newest edition too, but wouldn't you know it's at

school and I'm at home until Friday. The biggest difference that I can

remember is that the new one has study-guide type material included and the

old one does not. Since it's published by HPI, you might want to go to

their web site and check out the information there about it. Don't they

have a sale going on right now anyway?
