Guest guest
Hi Irene, I actually think here in US its supposed to fairly easy to find out ppm of chemicals in the water in your city/county. You start by calling the city (thats what we did at our workplace when things were getting yucky in the water) and explaining that you need the water components. You can even have your water supply tested by some division in the Environmental Protection Division of your water - Quality control. Chemical sensitivities are becoming more and more prevalent because there are so many chemicals in everything we use and eat. Since you work and live in your home - your most common exposure is the water in your house. Testing it might not be a bad idea, looking for contaminants and for a complete breakdown of the components. Now before you say why are you the only person suffering in your neighborhood ..... first, you can't be sure of that - other neighbors may have subtle signs of reaction and two maybe your immune system isn't as good as your neighbors. Meanwhile, maybe you could use bottled water for your thirst and cooking and see whether or not it makes a difference? Unfortunately, you'll still have to bathe in it and so there may not be any noticeable difference. Yes, when my biopsy was reviewed by the dermo guy, it was a vastly different report and this led me to applying topical antihistamines. The antihisamines helped me quite a bit and so I added oral to the topical. First review (non-dermo path) simply said something terse like " chronic inflammation-unknown etiology " . Review by dermo indicated skin was responding in a typical allergic reaction, as well as having some other features for which I would have to be checked periodically. For instance, the outer edges of the sample, says the dermo - could not be definitively ruled out for LS and I should be watched by a doc and for symptoms. So, yes, I'd say there was a difference in the results. I don't have IC so I don't know if one surgical procedure would bother the other condition. When you had your single biopsy did you have an increase in IC symptoms? Lots of ladies on this list speak of having a procedure where the bladder is filled with fluids of some kind, I forget why, and after recovering from the procedure itself they don't seem to have increased symptoms. I feel for you. I would HATE having more than one condition to deal with in that area. Dusty
