<< I

wonder how painful it actually is?

any guesses

Angie

>>

Angie -- I've had eyelid surgery twice, and it's really not that bad. I

didn't even use my pain medication. It doesn't hurt as much as it feels

really tight and swollen. Ice will help a lot. Now they even have some

kind of drug that they inject so that the swelling won't be so bad -- you

may want to ask them about that. They key to the ice is to use something

soft and moldable like crushed ice or frozen popcorn seeds. This way you

don't have edges jabbing. Even those gel ice pack things get hard. I hope

everything works out for her.

No Angie,

Let me call you. I have 2, 10 minute phone cards I got free from the net

that I want to use up before they expire so I will call you.

Rain here today and didn't need a weather forecast to know it either. Woke

up (if what I did was considered sleep) with lots of pain in ribs so I know

what the forecast is before I even turn on the TV. I'm better than Willard

! LOL

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I will call you tomorrow to find out what the d\oc said.

I just received a phone call from Texas. It was from a social worker in San

She has a client whose name is Bobby. he is 36 YR. married and in

deep trouble.

He needs a stent put in and has no insurance. The doctor will do the surgery

but the hospital wants money. Medicaid refused to pay the hospital bill so he

is searching for the hospital funds. Any one have ANY ideas at all. Since

this is an orphan disease state agencies are refusing to pay as they claim

the surgery is experimental. Time is of the essence here. so put on your

thinking caps and lets come up with something

Thanks

Angie,

Doesn't the hospital have grants or funds for just this thing? Oh, just

reread your letter I see that options being investigated.

Maybe what Janet said, NORD. Isn't there another organization like NORD?

Oooooh I can't think of the name of it now. Somebody help me!!! Brain dead

blonde on board.

Doesn't your body become immune to the antibiotic after so long a time?

Of course, I have a niece that's taken amoxicillian since she was 8 months

old and she is now 9 years old, so I guess not huh?

a little personal background. already knows this so here goes.

several years ago 6 to be exact. I lost my house to forclosure, Jerry was a

gambler big time. He retired early and I was left with no insurance. I have

medicaid I fought with them for 2 months over the methotrexate and don't have

the strength for another battle. They will not pay for a pain management

specialist either, I have tried. So since Jerry is retired and he went early

we live on crap a month, my SSD pays the rest with 25 left over so paying for

it is not an option if we want to eat. Jerry check pays the utilities,

fortunately all paid to date. Janey if you can send me or direct me to where

I can find out more on the sleeping aid I will print it out and stuff it in

my doctors throat when I see him for my lab report. I have never asked this

man for serious pain meds never, I never asked for percocettes, he just gave

them to me or any of the other ones. not I hacve two vicodin ES left and no

refills and I am in a lot of pain. The psycharist is sounding better and

better but bet the ins won't pay for that either.

Love and Gentle Hugs,

Angie
