Guest guest
I had heard that you want your numbers to be between 80 and 120 two hours after eating. BG readings 2 hours after eating > My BG is 153 two hours after eating a big dinner. Is that good or bad? > Is it supposed to be back to 'normal' after two hours? > maralee > > > > > > Diabetes homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/diabetes/ > > To unsubscribe to this group, send an email to: > diabetes-unsubscribe > Hope you come back soon! >

Is that good or bad? Hi Maralee, 153 two hours after eating is a good number for some people simply because no matter what they do cannot get normal readings. For other people 153 is a bad number. It all depends on the individual. My doctor wants my 2 hours after eating bg's to be no more than 140. I do get 140 and sometimes higher readings, but I set my goal at 125. Most of the time my bg's are below 125 two hours after eating. If your doctor has not set a goal for you, you may want to discuss this on your next visit. hugs Eunice

If they are still a little high two hours after eating, they are back to normal within 30 more minutes. hugs Eunice
