Guest guest
One more question! I have been contacted by a friend about woman here in Cincy who has had multiple cranial surgeries done and is now having a problem with cerebellar slump. She has been told that this is terminal and has been given 6 months. I know that I have heard of others here who have had this problem. Is there anything that can be done? She has run the gamut of MDs here and is giving up on further care being available, but I guess I can't believe that there is no one out there who could help with this. I guess I am also prejudiced in thinking that Cincinnati is not the most enlightened place to be in dealing with this (based on personal experience). Any input would be helpful. thanks, Misty
Guest guest
I'm curious.......couldn't Cerebullar Slump, or Brain Slump as I sometimes see it be just another name for ACM? Isn't that, in a way, what ACM is? If they are not the same, or quite similar, what are the differences? Take Care, Brande mymocha@... done and is now having a problem with cerebellar slump. > Shop online without a credit card http://www.rocketcash.com RocketCash, a NetZero subsidiary
Guest guest
In my case, The carebellum was " slumping " outward, of the craniotomy hole that was made in my first surgery. This was diffrent than the herniation into the top of my spinal cord at first. Hope this help. hugs, in GA
Guest guest
In my case my cerebellum (not my brain tonsils) was blocking my spinal cord (is this considered slumping?) I had my 1st and hopefully only surgery on 01/10/01 to repair this. I saw Dr. Steinberg at Stanford University, he is a wonderful neurosurgeon.
