Guest guest
I do not even appologize for beggin you all now. I am so desperate for at this time just do not know what to do. I know to pray, I know cannot medically take care of her, I know all that, it is my momma's heart that is broken, it is my concern about what will happen. I just hurt so badly for her. Guess should tell you all what the trouble is, might help here. She was at gas station, filled car up, took hose out but the nozzle that showed it was clicked off, did not shut off and she was literally covered from waist down, feet all of her soaked with gasoline. She went straight to her doctor and he said get pants off your going to blister and wipe the gas off. Well they got a big pan of soapy water and pan of clean water and cleaned her off. The lady she works part-time for went and bought her pair of jeans. Anyway, s rsd is both legs and feet. They put a salve all over her and gave her more pain meds, valium and salve and waiting to see if she blisters at all then has to go to hospital. She is in agony, her daughters birthday party is tomorrow and won't cancel it. Going to get kids to clean tonight for her. I am so concerned and not knowing about what the future holds for her. How is this going to affect her long term? What if she blisters and what if she doesn't blister what is going to happen ya'll to her. What will this do to the rsd, how is she going to get through this pain? Oh please someone please know what will happen. Please, Kathy, you two know so much as nurses and all please tell me something. Someone that has experience please tell me what you know. I need to know what to expect for her. I need to know about my baby girl and what this will do to her. I am begging like some broken down kid and know this will be shameful to act like this, but I can't think of anywhere else to go but to you all. Your my hope and I need all of you, each one of you is so important to me and cannot make this without you. s Momma JoAnn
Guest guest
JoAnn, Being a mother myself, I know what you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. It sounds as if she was well taken care of quickly, and I'm sure you're thankful for that. Try not to worry too much, wait and see how she is doing, and make sure she gets more care if she needs it. Hugs, Jo

Guest guest
JoAnn, My heart goes out to you and , please know I am thinking and praying for all of you. I don't have any advice for you, I'm sorry, but I'm sure others will come through with good advice. I know you will all get through this for you are strong and have so much support to help you. I'm so glad was so smart to go right to her doctor's office, if she had just gone home it probably would have been much harder to control. Just pray that the quick actions of the doctor will help recover from this and not have ramifications in the future. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers, please hang in there, you will get through this ok. Lori
Guest guest
Awwww, JoAnn. I didn't see this email until this morning since I went to bed early. I wish that you had thought to call me. Please know that you can call ANYTIME (and don't worry about ever waking me up since I wake up all of the time anyway....no matter). I wish I knew how this would effect the RSD. You must have had an incredibly long night of worrying. I'm hoping that the fact that they got the gasoline off quickly means that she will fare fine. I will keep you both in my thoughts. Please let me know as things develop (or don't develop). I care. BarbaraJoAnn wrote: she was literally covered from waist down, feet all of her soaked with gasoline.
