Guest guest
Let's all try eating one or two cups of brown rice every day for a week or two, and then report our results. If regularity suppresses rosacea, eating brown rice every day will certainly encourage it. And brown rice is loaded with B-vitamins and is not listed as a food trigger on any rosacea ban lists I've seen. Guest guest
Hi All, Rice might not be on any rosacea list, but it's still a trigger for me. I don't know if it's because I'm allergic to it (my daughter tested allergic to it) but it makes my nose swell. I've given up grains completely now that rice and corn are out along with all the gluten grains. I give up! Guest guest
DITTO on the rice. I cannot eat rice, corn, wheat, any gluten foods and I steer clear of most carbohydrates, except in small amounts. Everyone is different but I've spent a lot of effort trying to figure out my symptoms. My facial redness and bumps are not too bad, but the eye irritation, joint pains, light sensitivity and migraines are killers!!!! I also have a flare up of shingles ... not the rash just the pain. If anyone has ever had shingles, they know what I'm talking about. I will do anything to avoid that kind of pain! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/rosacea-support - Simplifying group communications

Guest guest
Terry, I don't know - but you could be describing my symptoms. Terry I don't know, but I have what my doctor called allergic arthritis and it certainly seems to be connected. My main food trigger for the arthritis and the eye problems is almonds, but I'm not sure if it's the almonds themselves or the chemicals they're saturated with or both. The other foods that bother me in this respect are eggs, other nuts, and regular dairy (I can get away with a little organic/hormone free etc...). Guest guest
Hi , I have the other problems you listed, and recently I've had terrible pain all down the back of my right arm and the outer edge of that armpit. It's hard to describe, but it's like the skin is really sore and terribly sensitive to the touch-like if it was terribly chapped or something. I don't know if this is what shingles pain feels like, but it sure is uncomfortable. I had shingles when I was 17 (you should have seen the look on my doctor's face!) and it didn't really hurt then-he said I was lucky. Anyway, I was diagnosed with multiple chemical sensitivity, and since I started taking measures to control my exposure almost all of my symptoms are gone. I get flare-ups when I go shopping and so on, but as long as I don't overdo it the symptoms go away quickly after I go home. There is an excellent website http://www.mcsrr.org/ that I mentioned on the group a while back which describes MCS and possible symptoms, triggers, etc... I just wanted to mention it in case it could be affecting you too. Take care! I too had shingles when I was 17 do you think this is just a coincidence?
