Guest guest
Hey y'all, I'm 19 days post op and feeling pretty okay, all things considered. I had a post fossa decompression and a part of my first vertabrae removed in order to hopefully alleviate symptoms. Preop my symptoms were these: numbness and lack of sensation on my left side (upper body), headaches ALL the time, aggravated when coughing or sneezing, difficulty swallowing and many others. Post op: Headaches are non exsitent! I have feeling in my left fingers thus far...nothing in the arm, yet...but I'm hopeful. My head feels heavy all the time right now, but I suspect that will alleviate as I heal. The crown of my head is numb, and my ns says that it will probably always be. Not that I care about that. I am scheduled for a follow up MRI in March to see if my syrinx has deflated. If it has then YAY! If not, we look at shunting possibilities! ICK! Anywho...I feel great all in all..and I can't wait to be completely recovered. I want to live again! Loves and hugs, Lori
