Hi Dennise

Did Ross have any trouble with a catheter in it pulling at the incision site? Did the dr.s close the skin around the catheter tube to form the urethra?

I feel like the catheter would have been better for , instead of a drainage tube. the tube protruded out about a quarter of an inch and wasn't wide enough to allow the urine to pass freely, it kinda pooled and built pressure and seeped out around the tube. It was also stitched in to the top with one little stitch and when pushed it out it would pull the stitch and being where the stitch was would cause extreme pain, a catheter would have a built-in balloon to prevent the movement experienced. Of course hind site is 20/20, but maybe others gearing up for a hypospadias repair will be able to ask about this instead of the little drainage tube.

I don't mean to ask to many personal questions and if you would rather you may e-mail me privately. Some folks aren't as open with this subject as others.
