Guest guest
, have you tried Danactive Probiotic Drink found a some grocery stores and most health food stores? I began using it based on a television advertisment - thinking it would help my always upset tummy and intestinal tract. Surprise, about 3 to 4 weeks into drinking it once a day , I was delighted to find that my vulvar/vaginal pain was greatly reduced. My gyn was very happy too, as she said my white blood cell counts in my smear and cultures looked tons better. So far it has held and I've not gotten another yeast infection. Though I am not pain free (I have pelvic floor issues with 24/7 pain), I'm very improved getting rid of whatever inflammatory process was going on by using the Danactive. I don't know why it works for me, but it's cheap enough and as I indicated, I'm delighted. I also take Kyodophilus probiotic pills - have been using them for about 8 years now, one a day in the A. M. I drink one of the Danactives in the A.M. and l/2 in the P.M. Good luck -----Original Message-----From: jenniferwoll@... Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 2004 11:25 AMTo: VulvarDisorders Subject: ? Natural Yeast Remedies ? Hello - What do you all recommend for a natural yeast remedy. I thought it was just the usual (15 years now, I am not proud to say) VV flare with "nothing wrong" but I was happy, in a way, to find out that I do in fact have a yeast infection. Makes sense with all the mold in my house from the moisture of all these hurricanes! Combined with eating a ton of fruit to ward off gout . . . . So what would you recommend? I hope to get several recommendations - please let me know what you have heard of and/or tried as a non-pharmacological treatment . . . I am sure it is systemic so I will try to cut down on fruit and dairy (I don't eat any other sugar). Thanks a lot for your input, (in Florida)*****END OF MESSAGE/REMOVE WHEN REPLYING*****http://groups.yahoo.com/group/VulvarDisordersto search our archive or view our files.***

Guest guest
> Hello - What do you all recommend for a natural yeast remedy. Oil of Oregano Garlic Grapefruit Seed Extract Candex Formula SF722 (www.modernherbalist.com) Olive Leaf Extract Caprylic Acid Coconut Oil For the pills/herbs...find 3 good ones and then take the dosage recommended for 4-7 days then switch to the next one (take one at a time) then do the same with each one. Rotation helps keep the candida from mutating and becoming resistant. For vaginal yeast only: Tea Tree Oil douches Boric Acid inserts (fill a 00 gelcap with boric acid powder. Insert 1 or 2 at bedtime for 2 weeks. Wear a mini pad because it causes you to be wet (like sucking a lemon makes your mouth water). Also..to avoid superfical vulvar burning, coat lightly with vaseline or aquaphor for the first few nights) You can also insert a clove of garlic nightly for 7 nights and remove it in the morning. Some people take dental floss and a needle and run it through the clove of garlic (peeled) and let the end hang out like a tampon string so you can remove it. Otherwise, just bearing down (like having a baby) works too to get it out in the mornings. These are what pop into my head. Lynn
