Guest guest
I've only ever used Panasonic...and can honestly say have heard nothing but crap about them, but I have never really had any trouble w/mine and I've been doing this 8 years. When I did have a problem several months ago w/my Panasonic....I took it to the repair guy and asked him what he thought was the best...he said used to there was a difference in quality (he's been in the repair business for over 30 years), but not so much any more, but he thought maybe Sony if he had to pick. val transcribers > I'm intending to buy a transcriber and would like to know what > brand/model any of you might recommend (or what to stay away from). > I'm considering a Panasonic RR-930 and a Sony M-2000, but I'm still > open. Guest guest
I have a Sanyo Memo-Scriber which I have had for about five years and really haven't had any problems with it. I try to get it cleaned about once a year. Virginia

Guest guest
I've had Panasonics and Sony's. I've bought new and refurbished models. I've had better luck with the Panasonics than I had with the Sony models. (I could only hear out of the right ear with the Sony I had. It drove me nuts.) I would say that I've had about equal usage from the refurbished as I did the new, and they cost half the price. If you want to stay in the $100 range, try www.martelelectronics.com for refurbished. Just my 2 cents....
