Guest guest Posted January 18, 2000 Report Share Posted January 18, 2000 Hi..Just my opinion on pediasure: really did love it, but if you look at the label you will see that the ingredients are not exactly wholesome! It really bugged me that a lot of the calories are from carbohydrates, not fats, and that the fats are a combination of various oils: no milk. All they do is fortify their chemical concoction with vitamins to make it nutritious. You really can make your own version by using Breyers Ice Cream (ingredients are just milk, sugar, vanilla, -they also have a version with eggs), natural peanut butter, wheat germ, bananas (or any kind of fruit). Or, omit the ice cream and use half and half. Add a dropperful of a multivitamin and you've got your nutritious, caloric drink.
