Yes let's change the subject and remind everyone to see The Cat in

the Hat! (I can't wait to see it) Dr. Seuss is just amazing -he

could have put any topic in perspective. I can just imagine him on

our grouplist for example.

" I do not like reading about vaccines, environmental issues and

Teflon pans, I do not like it Sam I am. "

" You should try it with an

open mind, you should try to just unwind. "

and then by the end

" I do have an open mind, I do need to just unwind, I still do not

like reading about vaccines, environmental issues and Teflon pans, but now I

just delete what I don't want to read Sam I am! "

Did anyone else but me ever serve kids green eggs and ham?

Jan still at 32 likes to be put to bed with:

Today is done

Today was fun

Tomorrow is another one

And now, goodnight, it's time to sleep

You will sleep with your pet zeep

From there to here

From here to there

Funny things are ..... (the words here get changed every time)

Apologies to Dr. Seuss. If you are ever in Springfield MA after

Thanksgiving, go to their evening light show. It is a drive through a

park with many, many lighted displays of Seuss stuff.

Urgh...I have bought dozens, well over a hundred for sure of Green Eggs and

Ham. 's been obsessed with GEH since preschool. He's in books

holding that book and dressed like Sam. The Sibling Slam book that Katey

coauthored has blurb about TJ making green eggs and ham (we all have

done that here). I'm sitting here surrounded by pages from GEH as I type.

Xeroxed pages this time. We'll have ham tomorrow, so I'm sure GEH will be

served for dinner Monday night :)

Geeze, is there a kid in America hasn't eaten green eggs and ham by this

time? Schools have been serving them for years, in conjunction with reading

lessons.

, we had those chickens and so do my neighbors now. We get some

beautiful blue color eggs too!

My 4 yr old is in charge of putting the eggs in cartons when people come for

them. She spends so much time making sure she gets all colors and equal

amounts..it takes forever!

And if she knows the family personally..she picks a BIG egg for the big

sister, and a little egg for the little sister..and....on and on and on...

What are the names of those Chickens? Do they start with the letter A? We

have some chickens now and are debating whether or not to get some more

chicks--and I thought that it would be neat to get the chicks that lay what they

call

the Easter Egg chicken, because they lay different colored eggs. But for the

life of me can't remember what the name of the actual chicken is.

The chickens are Ameraucana/Araucana. (They are called either name in

catalogs) They are primarily egg layers and lay eggs from Olive green to

turquoise

blue. They were developed in the US in the 70's using Araucana's from S.

America. I have several in my incubator right now if you lived closer I could

give you some chicks!
