HI , sorry you're going through all that discharge. Just wondering if there's a distinct odor? I'm thinking it might be a protozoa or amoeba parasite type thing (maybe Trichomoniasis?) with you saying it's foamy or frothy, and with that sometimes there are symptoms and other times not. Sometimes odor sometimes not too. I've no idea of course, but here's a link if you want to read about it.

I would go to the doctor right away and have it checked. It could be

that the rePHresh (did I spell that right?) has caused your pH to

swing the other way and BV has taken hold. Your vagina's pH is a

balancing act. Unless you have had the pH tested, it's best not to

mess with it using replens or rePHfresh or anything that alters it.

If you alter it and it goes too high..you can get a bacterial

infection. Lower it too much and you get yeast overgrowth (yeast

also will grow at normal pH in some women). The flora of the vagina

is a mix of yeasts/bacterias that stay in check and quiet. If

disturbed, you risk overgrowth of one over the other.

a creamy white discharge with no bacteria could be lactobacillosis or

Cytolytic Vaginosis (which mimics yeast infections).

called my doc today, but he was unavailable. I am definitely itchy

and I do have white, frothy discharge. Last week when I saw him I

had somewhat of an itch and white creamy discharge and he said I did

not have an infection, but did acknowledge that I had a lot and I was

probably irritated. Do you think I should just wait it out till next

week, or should I goo to the pharmacy today and buy boric acid pills

or hydrogen peroxide douche???

I think the point that is being missed here is that everyone is

saying to see your doctor NOW (even though you just saw him last

week) because your discharge CHANGED from last week. You went from

creamy to frothy and itchy. Well...that warrants a visit to the

doctor as frothy is a big red flag for INFECTION. Urine smell

(ammonia) is also a sign of bacteria vaginosis. This is something

you need to see a doctor about. You said last week you had sex. Was

it unprotected???? You can get trich from unprotected sex. You can

get BV from a change in ph (rePHresh) and semen. Those two combined

and cause the pH to go WAY up. Just having the doctor look around

inside can change your environment.

You are talking about two different things....one thing that has

occured up until last week and another that CHANGED in the past few

days with frothy discharge that is itchy. A CHANGE means you need to

see the doctor again. You can go to a walk in clinic for that as

well. Your pH from when you had the original discharge MAY NOT be

the same as you have now since there is a change.

I think the advice you are getting is based on your CURRENT CHANGED

symptoms and not the previous creamy discharge. That's a whole other

issue.
