Guest guest
B. Medrol is basically the same as pred. But 4mg of medrol is equal to 8mg of pred. I started out on predison, but switched to medrol because of blurry vision. I'll look up Keflex in my drug book tonight. Take Care Jim
Guest guest
Thanks for the info Jim. It's good to know these things before we visit the Dr. B. Guest guest
Sue Welcome to the Group. I know this group knows more than the doctors. Good to have you with us. Welcome Rene
Guest guest
I can't tell you how excited I am to find a support group for this battle I'm fighting! My Dr. basically led me to believe that I would not live more than another five years - and that was three years ago. I'll be so glad to hear from others about how they deal with this illness. I'd be interested to know how many in this group are also diabetics. > Re: Keflex? and Medrol? > > From: HAIGJIM@... > > B. > Medrol is basically the same as pred. Guest guest
B, Just wanted to mention to you that you sent one post to rpolychondritis at egroups, and we aren't using them anymore. You might want to just delete that address all together. As for Brett, if he is starting to get worse again, I'd call his Rheumy now and not wait until the end of Oct. Just worries me some. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I wanted to ask a question. Brett's ear cartilage is still very swollen and the redness is still very prominant there and over his nose. He said the 1500 mg. of Refalin (sp) worked for a few days but seems to have stopped. Though he is still taking it. I read Dan's post on how Keflex? and Medrol?(I'm not sure what type of drugs these are) made his ear 'go back to normal'. Should he mention these to the rhuemotoligist. We see her Oct. 26th. B. Guest guest
, Yes I realized it when I didn't see my post listed. I changed the address and removed myself from egroup altogether. I can call the Dr. but our health plan gave us two visits (so far) and I think she's waiting for the test results. Will keep you posted. B.
