Guest guest
hi, ladies. your input is once again needed! i am 14 weeks today, had cerclage done two weeks ago and went for my follow-up appointment last wednesday. for almost a week following cerclage, i spotted. basically, the spotting was a light red and seemed to be mixed with mucus. after the follow-up appointment, i spotted quite a bit that day, but it stopped until this past sunday night. sunday night and monday, similar spotting re-occurred. i went to another doctor on monday (since my doctor was not in). he told me the stitch was fine and my cervix was tight (but shorter than a " normal " pregnancy). however, he did not know why i was bleeding so he told me to go home, rest and see my doctor the next day. on tuesday, my doctor did a thorough examination, and told me my cervix looked fine and that the bleeding could be from my cervix or uterus! also, he did an ultrasound and the baby looked fine (in fact, he said it's getting really big!). during this appointment, my doctor said there was no bleeding. however, occasionally when i go to the bathroom, a slightly red colored mucus will still be there. should i call the doctor's again? not worry at this time? any suggestions? thanks for your help... stacey langal 30 yrs 14 weeks bu or ud 2 m/c
Guest guest
Stacey, I wish you didn't have to deal with this spotting! I can't really give you any advice, but it sounds like all is fine with your baby. I guess spotting can be quite commn with a cerclage. Sending you lots of hugs - hang in there.
