Wonder how that occurs? Sandy
Guest guest
Thanks for your replys to my post. I should have explained that I was sent a report with my blood test results that had the note " good control for diabetes " . At my next doctor's appointment I asked her if that meant I had diabetes and that's when I got the diagnosis. That was two years ago. Sorry for the confusion. I will start having snacks. My lows are usually in the morning. I'll try having a late night snack. I think the reason I'm able to keep my bg low is due to a low-carb diet. I've lost 35 pounds, 15 to go. No processed foods, no sugar, no starch. Mostly chicken, fish, salad, and low carb veggies. It's pretty limited, but I no longer crave carbs, and I feel so much better. I totally blew it over the holidays and got pretty sick and gained weight. I've increased my carb intake a little lately and my fbg is now around 85, up from 70's. Please don't think I was complaining. I know I'm very fortunate, and that low-carb doesn't work for everyone. I'm not even sure if that's what's helping, but I think it is, at least for now. Thanks again, Barbara
Guest guest
Hi Barbara- I didn't think you were complaining at all. Congrats on your weight loss! And your self-control with low carbing. I try to maintain the same type of diet. As long as I stay away from sugar free chocolates, I'm ok. But I get cravings if I start with even one. -Deb > Thanks for your replys to my post. >
