Guest guest
The new year is here .....and i started it off , just past midnight .....with a bang and slide . Accidents happen to everyone , not just those with acm .....but falls can be hard on zipperheads .....this time , i was lucky . my neigbor has a new wooden ramp ....and it had iced up ..., in my new slippers ....i went up like id found a bannana peel .....and down the last 5 feet , arms first on my back . yes stephen , again .....i practiced being that dung beatle ....waving all appendages with glee . but slip and slide ....leaves behind hurt and harm too . so ok , i know better than to thoughlessly prance down a ramp ..... Dr Milhorat has been heard to repeat the caution .... " stay out of harms way " . Mark his words ...., do beware , and take care . us common sense , fasten your seat belts , ADJUST the HEADREST , and ask your doctor about the precaution of wearing a soft collar ....the asap medical board has recomended all zipperheads and sm folks consider it a protection as important as a seatbelt . remember that car seats are manufactured to fit and suport the average man .....if your smaller ( and most women are ) ....you may need to modifiy the seat , belt and headrest , to protect you . there are easy modifications available , like a lap /belt extension that places the shoulder harness strap ect right . do the same for your family members, use walking aides if you need em . ( yep , had my stick ...just forgot there could be ice !) sarah in paradise
