Re: I'm going to see the doctor or midwife this morning

Good morning everyone. Wow, to read all the roll calls, we should do this

more often. It's so nice to catch up on new ones and to review who's been

here too. I have really enjoyed this.

I called the 24 hour service from my doctor this weekend. I talked to

another doctor who was on call and he told me that last week when I tried to

get an appointment twice that there was some confusion somewhere. They had

told me to wait until I have pains and to come in to ER but this doctor on

call said that is not the way it works. He told me to go to my doctor's

office (45 mins away) and to be there when the door opens and to ask to be

checked. I've never been checked as my doctor doesn't do this unless you

are having contractions.

I feel like such a stupid fool. I've never gone through this before and was

just doing what the office told me. I only called the 24 hour line after

several women in my friendship circle and all my female relatives frowned

when I told them it's been three weeks since the midwife has seen me.

I am worried now. I know it's probably okay and I will keep you posted.
