Guest guest
In regard to your Questions, I can answer some of them. Ultra Brite is keto friendly, as is Tom's toothpaste. The fruit flavored oil is ok, as long as no sugar is added. By the info you gave there was no sugar added. Carnosine can be purchased over the counter. But remember you want carnosine not carnitine. Omega 3 and omega 6 are essential fatty acids and are unsaturated. You body needs them but cannnot manufacture them, you have to get them in your diet. The ratio is different depending on the author but should be between 4:1 and 1:1 omega 3 to omega 6. Heavy cream, ghee and fish oil are balanced oils. The saturated fats are not as good. But if you are getting seizure control I am not sure I would get too particular about this. Any fat will cause ketosis. If you want to fine tune, this may be worth focusing more on these foods. But seizure control is the goal. If your child won't eat those foods then get the fat in any way you can. Bob Ketofriendly products etc I finally had the chance to get into a health food store last week. I was very happy to find a few things there that I have read about previously. I have a few questions. 1. Someone mentioned that they use Weleda (sp?) tooth clensing gel for their child - this I assume is keto friendly? and I notice it contains silica? (sp?) is that the same stuff that is in those little packets in new shoes etc that says " do not eat " - if it is the same stuff, I am assuming that it isnt toxic in the tooth clensing gel? 2. Flax oil - is one brand better than the other and what should I be looking for (other than to check the date and make sure it is in the fridge when purchasing) can this be frozen? thought I read that somewhere, and how long does it last? 3. Are there any other supplements that can be purchased at a health food store that you would recommend? I have read about others, but havent taken very good notes (will be doing better from now on) 4. Found an extra virgin olive oil that is " fruity flavored " checked the nutritional info and it says 0g-protien, 0g-carb 14g-fat I am assuming that this is a good thing? Tasted it (mom has some) and think it would be good in making " ice cream " 5. Where can I get carnosine? Is this a prescrip or can it be purchased over the counter? does it need to be purchased at a health food store or a pharmacy? 6. What do you all use for shampoo/soap/creams? 7. What other health supplements do you all use? I have a good cal/mag/zinc supplement but would like to look into b6. Does this need to be tested for prior to make sure that we dont give too much? 8. Can someone explain a bit about omega 3,6,9 to me? What is the ratio between them, how much does a 5yr old, 42lb boy need of them? Any good sites on the web to look into regarding this?
