Guest guest
Perhaps I should say " hi " again to all of you. I have been off line for many months, trying to steer away from medical stuff and get some balance in my life. I got hooked on some talk groups that had nothing to do with illness... and it was wonderful! But now I'm back again, mainly because my brother was asking questions and now feels he has EDS. (Funny how those family members come around who thought you were a hypochondriac--when they find they have serious symptoms of EDS develop themselves! ) I have been resting lots and taking care of myself. Fortunately, I have had no major incidents since I've been away. In fact, I just had my 1-1/2 year checkup for bladder cancer and it was negative! Now that I have stopped doing things that were aggravating my joints, I am doing much better. However, I have stopped doing things-- so my body aches from inactivity! You can't win, I guess! I have gained lots of weight as a result (the last time I weighed this much I was pregnant with a 10# baby!), and now realize summer is around the corner, so I've got to start moving this body before shorts season comes! (I gave up on bikini season long ago, heh, heh.) I have noticed how uncomfortable I feel at 170# and 5'6 " . I wonder how heavier people can *stand* it! I can't get in and out of a car very well, when I turn my body, my fat gets in the way (pinching me!), and worst is that my clothing doesn't fit-- I'll be damned if I'll buy all new clothes for this fat body!! My skin hurts, too, and I wonder if this happens to normal (non-EDS) people when they gain weight. Well, enough about me and my weight gain. I am overwhelmed at this point, dealing with EDS, central sleep apnea, bladder cancer, severe allergies, Raynaud's, TMJ, hemachromotosis and possible tachycardia. I'm too young to have all these problems (as so many doctors have told me). So, I'm back to talk, share and learn with you all. Hi! I'm HOME !! P.S. Please feel free to email me with news about yourselves so I can be updated! Guest guest
Thank you, Jill! I really missed the list while I was off--it feels good to be back. How are things going for you? How are and the children? I am sorry I am late in responding--we just got back from a short trip to Las Vegas where my husband had a conference to attend. It was wonderful to get out of the snow and cold for a while! Thank you for the warm welcome back!
