hi all

what mixed emotions i have about weaning adam off the diet.

but i believe it is the right answer. we did not get a fare shake on

the diet and i feel we got slightly cheated.

we went through 4 dieticians and never met any of them.

i probably talked with them 6 time for the year and three months we

were on the diet. i got all of my help from you all. we tried to get

into hopkins but they will not have us because we are already on the

diet. adam continues to have seizures and now the doctors are adding

another med (zonagram) to his list. the diet is also getting

stressful and adam is getting tired, and really fussy about it. our

doctor says we need to dump the diet because adam may be having some

protein defficiancies -- test are being done. and my husband is

really stressed about the diet so i am the only one holding on (it is

like my security blanket).

he is on 3 meals with 1025 cal and 1 snack at 125 at 3.5 to 1 ratio

he get 16g of protein

he is 3 and weighs 35lbs and is 95cm tall

so once again i look to you all for help. i have heard of many ways

to get off the diet--

1) changing the cream to whole milk for 2 weeks and then to skim

milk for two weeks and then you are off (keto diet book- freeman)

2) reducing ratio by .25 every two weeks--if there is a faster safe

way i love to know

3) reducing ratio .5 every two weeks or every week.

i really want to help adam to wean safely and productively

i would love any help

i feel alone in this except for you all and i really need some

direction

thank you

kim
