Guest guest
This is something I am trying to do. I have noticed in the past 6-8 wks that I have been eating too fast and not paying attention to the taste and my fullness. I've decided to try the mindfullness piece of eating again. I did it when I first started IE, but sort of fell out of it. I guess I got too relaxed or something. Anyways, I am with you on that journey!! Kim IE since Aug 08 Subject: RE: Re: what to do when you find ourself compulsively eating againTo: IntuitiveEating_Support Date: Thursday, January 8, 2009, 7:19 PM I also am experimenting with eating mindfully – fully aware of every bite – sometimes when I am physically hungry and sometimes when I want to binge. When I eat mindfully, the binge loses its power. I am no longer using food to ‘numb out’ by eating so the eating desire stops. Eating mindfully for me IS NOT easy. It takes a great deal of effort but well worth it. I am starting to observe that I have usually satisfied my craving 5 minutes into the "binge". > > >> > > I absolutely love the idea of intuitive eating.
